Jacques-Cartier Park is hosting one the biggest horticultural event in Canada, with MOSAÏCANADA, part of Gatineau’s Canada 150 celebrations. Mosaiculture is a spectacular horticultural technique that combines sculpture for the structure, adorned with all manor of plants and flowers to create enormous objects, representing 150 years of history, values, culture and arts in Canada, represented by some 40 different arrangements.
Admission to the MOSAÏCANADA 150/Gatineau 2017 exhibit in Jacques-Cartier Park is free, although you can arrange for guided tours, for a fee. The exhibit route, which winds its way through the park takes an hour to do… of course, you spend even more time there if your a photo-enthusiast like I am. Bring a wide-angle lens if you have one. MOSAÏCANADA continues until October 15th. An amazing event not to be missed!
