Willie Nelson Cancels Remaining August Tour Dates Due To Breathing Problems

Willie Nelson has had to cancelled some upcoming tour dates to seek medical treatment. Willie took to Twitter to break the news, writing, “To my fans, I’m sorry to cancel my tour, but I have a breathing problem that I need to have my doctor check out. I’ll be back. Love, Willie.”

Willie Nelson is a lifelong pot-smoker and marijuana advocate who has his own weed company, called Willie’s Reserve. He primarily smokes marijuana products using a vape pen. He recently told also told Daily beast reporter, Malcolm Jones, “Singing is the best exercise you can get. Your lungs are the biggest muscles you’ve got. When you use ’em to sing, it works really good for you. If you sing for an hour, you’ve done a pretty good workout right there.”

Willie Nelson has had a history of emphysema and has previously cancelled or rescheduled shows several times citing breathing difficulties. His publicist confirmed that Willie Nelson has cancelled his remaining dates in August, but plans to be back on the road in September.
