Wanted: Vancouver Bound Air Canada Passenger With A Love Of Birds

Planning a trip to Vancouver soon? Are you flying Air Canada? How do you feel about birds? Care to help out a wayward Bullock’s Oriole? The Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre would like to hear from you! The organization is trying to get the oriole that somehow made its way to the Ottawa area… back home again. Sightings of the oriole drew hundreds of birders to Pakenham two winters ago. But in January 2016 the bird, in danger of freezing to death, needed to be rescued. The Oriole has been recuperating at the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre ever since, but now it’s time to return to its normal range on the West Coast… as carry-on luggage on a flight to Vancouver. You get get in touch with the Ottawa Valley Wild Bird Care Centre by email at: mojo@wildbirdcarecentre.org
