[Video] Colourful Mural Boxes Are Part Of Downtown Rideau Culture Walk Tour

Have you seen these and wondered about them? Mural boxes are part of the Downtown Rideau Culture Walking Tour, a free self-guided walking tour featuring the abundant, and vibrant collection of public art, galleries, exhibits, monuments and points of interest in the district. The mural boxes (pictured below) are part of a commemorative exhibit celebrating Canada’s sesquicentennial 150th birthday in 2017 was produced by the Downtown Rideau Business Improvement Area as part of its public art program in partnership with the City of Ottawa.

The inaugural series, entitled “Auntie Mame,” is a collection of digital collages based on the spirit of the 1958 film of the same name. The artist for entire series is Drew Mandigo. More of Drew’s work can be found at:
