The 34th edition of Christmas Lights Across Canada will kick off with an official illumination ceremony on Parliament Hill on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 7 PM. The atmosphere will be magical with performances by Ariane Moffatt, winner of several Felix awards, as well as Josée Bourgeois, an Algonquin artist.
Thousands of Canadians are expected to gather for this annual ceremony. Those who bundle up and make their way to the hill will enjoy free BeaverTails pastries and hot chocolate (while supplies last), as well as live performances and colorful pyrotechnics. Every night from December 6 to January 7, enjoy the Magical Winter Lightscapes multimedia show projected on the Parliament Hill buildings.
On December 31, the multimedia show will run until 11:59 PM At midnight, a short pyrotechnics display will herald the New Year!
