Travel Plans This Weekend, Take Note

With only three more sleeps til the big day, a lot of people are thinking of travel plans.  This weekend is the most busy times on the road with many traveling to family for dinner and Christmas Day.

Now while Ottawa itself is only getting a bit of light snow, areas outside the city and more to the south of us, are in for some Special Weather Statements.  5 to 10cms of freezing rain could be possible and put a delay in your plans tomorrow morning.

The statement covers an area including Kingston, Napanee, Merrickville-Wolford, Kemptville, Westport, Brockville, Prescott, Gananoque, Mallorytown, Maxville, Alexandria, Cornwall, Winchester and Morrisburg…..and even areas of Montreal, Toronto and Niagara have Special Weather Statements to look into as well.

So before you hit the road tomorrow, make sure to check the forecast and if you need to head out, remember to take your time, keep a distance and be prepared.  Be safe and Merry Christmas.
