Algonquin College public relations students have launched the Band Together Campaign with four events that take place between July 17th to 28th.
Since opening in 1998, Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health offers an unique model of care which integrates a full medical clinic, mental health clinic, community and cultural programs along with community outreach to provide a place all Aboriginals can call home.
The four events you can take part in include:
“Strawberry Social” – a cocktail evening of live music, food, art, and raffles, centered around the significance of strawberries in Indigenous teachings, held at Algonquin College’s award-winning ACCE Building. There will be strawberry themed drinks and desserts.
“Games for Wabano” – an exciting board game night at The Loft in downtown Ottawa.
“Art of Healing” – Featuring an auction for pieces from local artists, refreshments, snacks, workshops and more, held at Biagio’s Italian Kitchen.
“Lights, Camera, Wabano!”- is a fun filled trivia movies night held at Hooley’s Pub Elgin.
