Tonight it’s the big Ottawa MealShare launch party at the Heart and Crown in the Byward Market from 5:30 to 7:30pm to celebrate the more than 30 MealShare restaurant partners and the big expansion in Ottawa.
The three Heart and Crowns and the Aulde Dubliner have just signed on as a MealShare partner and their MealShare menu item is their biggest seller, fish and chips.
For every fish and chips sold, MealShare provides a healthy meal for a youth in need in our community and they sell about 40,000 of those fish and chips a year!
In Ottawa, MealShare is partnered with Operation Come Home, Boys and Girls Club, Parkdale Food Centre and Save The Children Canada.
Since they started, Mealshare has served two million meals to youth in need.
