She Rydes Her Way To A Number One Spot

I remember this young lady when she played the clubs of Peterborough back in the day and how far her star has risen since then.  She has gone on to mesmerize us with her great songs like Weak In The Knees and Stompa, which hit number one on both sides of the border and has won six Juno Awards.

You couldn’t find a nicer person than Serena Ryder and after her breakthrough story on a recent episode of W-5 where she tells her story of depression taking over her life and how she overcame it and came out the other end of it and now with her brand new album called Utopia,  life is once again is where it should be for Serena as her first album in 5 years has debuted at number one.

Look for Serena Ryder on the road here in Ottawa at TD Ottawa Jazz Festival on Friday June 23rd and again on Canada Day itself, on the Hill at 7pm.
