Robert Redford Confirms He Plans To Retire From Acting

81 year old legendary actor Robert Redford has confirmed he is retiring from the world of acting following his upcoming movie, The Old Man & The Gun. He was recently quoted as saying; “Never say never, but I pretty well concluded that this would be it for me in terms of acting, and [I’ll] move towards retirement after this ’cause I’ve been doing it since I was 21. I thought, well, that’s enough. And why not go out with something that’s very upbeat and positive?”

Robert Redford, has been acting for 60 years. His career in the TV and film industry started in 1960 and he’s starred in many all-time classic movies, including Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, All The President’s Men, and Out of Africa. Robert says it’s possible he might continue directing. He won an Oscar for the first movie he directed, 1980’s “Ordinary People.” He also directed “Quiz Show,” “A River Runs Through It” and “The Horse Whisperer,” among other films.
