Myles Goodwyn has long been known as the voice of the legendary Canadian band April Wine with such hits as Tonight Is A Wonderful Time To Fall In Love, Say Hello and Just Between You And Me to name a few.
Myles has also had a solo or two in there with one of my fave covers, Do You Know What I Mean with Lee Aaron. He’s also written his autobiography called Just Between You And Me but it doesn’t stop there.
He has penned a second book, a novel titled Elvis And The Tiger, to be published later this year and recorded so many blues songs, he’s almost completed Vol 2 of his Myles Goodwyn And Friends of The Blues series.
But for now, let’s chat about Volume 1 of the Myles Goodwyn And Friends Of The Blues Series which is out now and features 12 tracks that reflect Goodwyn’s commitment to recording an authentic Blues album filled with humorous lyrical titles like I Hate To See You Go (But I Love To Watch You Walk Away, I’ll Hate You Till Death Do Us Part and Tell Me Where I’ve Been So I Don’t Go There Anymore.
“When you get a chance to make a first impression and you have waited all of your life to create a record like this, then you just have to do it right,” Goodwyn explained. “I wanted to make everything count.”
