It’s Raining 10 Dollar Bills!

The Bank of Canada has placed what’s known as an ‘Easter egg’ on its website promoting the new $10 bill. If you visit the website and enter the right series of keys, you’ll be entertained by an electronic version of the national anthem and a shower of tiny animated 10 dollar banknotes. The key sequence to unlock the secret is known as the Konami code – first included in a video game by the Japanese company of the same name in 1986. The same code has since been used in dozens of other games.

Give it a try… Go to the web page: http://www.bankofcanada.ca/banknotes/banknote150/
Once you’re on the page, type the following code using the arrow keys: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, then type the letters b, a.

It’s a little corny… but fun and it works!
