Priceless Item Taken From Pembroke Estate Sale

The family of a Pembroke woman who died two years ago is asking whoever took an urn with her ashes to bring it back. Most of Patricia Ann Guimond’s ashes were buried in 2015.  However,  small amounts were divided and placed in small urns as keepsakes for family members. This past Saturday as the family cleared out Guimond’s home, someone picked up one of the urns as people toured through to see furniture for sale.

Provincial police confirmed they are investigating the theft, which it believed to have occurred late morning or early afternoon on Saturday September 2nd. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to contact the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP at 613-732-3332 or Pembroke/Renfrew County CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477. (local files)
