Ottawa Police Asking For Help Finding Missing Teen

Police are asking the public to help them find a 16-year-old girl who was last seen leaving her south-end Ottawa school Tuesday. Taryn Torrie-Smith is described as white, 5’7″ tall with a thin build, auburn hair and grey-green eyes. She has several piercings in each ear and was wearing a blue T-shirt and grey pants and carrying a blue backpack. Anyone who knows her current whereabouts is asked to immediately call Ottawa police dispatch at 613-236-1222. Those with other information that can help investigators are asked to call the missing persons unit at 613-236-1222, ext. 2355. Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or by downloading the Ottawa police app.
