Ottawa Humane Society Offering A Microchip Clinic This Weekend

The Ottawa Humane Society is holding its sixth microchip clinic of 2018 on Sunday, at its 245 West Hunt Club Rd. Shelter. Pet owners are urged to take precautions to ensure that if their dog or cat becomes lost, it has the best possible chance of being found and safely returned. To do that, the OHS recommends implanting a grain-sized microchip, which offers permanent, life-long identification.

The clinic will run from 9 AM to 12 PM on Sunday. The cost is $36.50 for the first pet, $36.25 for each additional pet. Owners are also asked to bring vaccination records and one piece of ID, such as a driver’s licence. Appointments can be booked by calling ahead, or emailing microchip@ottawahumane.ca. All proceeds benefit the animals at the OHS.
