Ottawa 2017 Celebrations – By The Numbers

Here’s an update from Ottawa 2017, the bureau established to oversee Canada 150 celebrations across the National Capital Region. It’s a snapshot of attendance numbers at a variety of special events, hosted by the city.

300,000 – The number of people that have visited Inspiration Village in the Byward Market. It closes at the end of the Labour Day Weekend.

250,000 – Visitors to Kontinuum, the multimedia production staged at the Lyon Station of the yet-to-be- opened LRT. It runs until September 14th and it’s FREE!

750,000 – People who took in La Machine to see Long Ma and Kumo roam the streets of Ottawa for 4 days in July.

And also attracting large crowds, Ottawa Welcomes The World, with over 170,000 visitors taking in more than a dozen events hosted by numerous countries at Lansdowne Park.
