The man is already everyone’s boyfriend or not so secret crush, even guys will admit to having their “mancrush” on this guy. He sings, he writes the most amazing songs, he loves hockey and all things Canadian, he’s a great family man, yeah he’s kinda good looking too with that boy next door kinda thing going on, and he just continues to up the ante.
Jim Cuddy has not only just released his new solo CD, Constellation but out the on road in support of it with a date here in Ottawa at the National Arts Centre on April 5th with Barney Bentall and his sons Devin Cuddy and Sam Polley.
Further to that, Jim has launched 7-part video series called Growing Up Cuddy on his Jim Cuddy Band Youtube page. In the series, Jim’s sons Devin and Sam talk with their dad about growing up in a musical household and how it’s influenced them as musicians as well as the ups and downs of having a famous father.
And in other news 😉 MusiCounts, Canada’s leading music education charity, announced that Canadian music icon Jim Cuddy will be the recipient of the 2018 MusiCounts Inspired Minds Ambassador Award, presented by The Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation. The award recognizes individuals who have had an extraordinary impact on music education and MusiCounts.
“I am honoured to be receiving the 2018 MusiCounts Inspired Minds Ambassador Award. By providing instruments to schools across Canada, MusiCounts helps teach kids to not only enjoy music but to actively participate in creating it,” said Jim. “In giving kids a love of music from an early age we are teaching them to appreciate music, and by extension, all art, throughout their lives. I am so proud of MusiCounts and the important work they do.”
Cuddy will receive a solid crystal statuette based on the JUNO Award design, at the 2018 JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards on March 24th in Vancouver during the JUNO weekend.
What’s next for Jim Cuddy…..Prime Minister Of Canada? President Of United States? Ruler Of The World? Whatever it is, I know he will just shine at it as he always does 🙂
