Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Pakistani activist and Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has done tremendous things for the people of her country and the children of the world.
Trudeau bestowed honorary Canadian citizenship on the 19-year-old this morning in the Library of Parliament.
She received a framed certificate and a flag that had flown from the top of the Peace Tower.
Yousafzai is going to address M-Ps and senators in a joint session of Parliament, and is the youngest person ever to do that.
