Life Inside The Box

Let’s rewind back to the eighties and the year 1981 when former member of Montreal’s band Men Without Hats branched out to form the new wave/pop band The Box.

The Box quickly got itself signed to a record label and in 1984, their debut album, The Box and gave us their first hits, Must I Always Remember and Walk Away.

More albums followed helping launch the careers of their then background vocalists Sass Jordan and Martine St. Clair to name a few.

More singles followed throughout the eighties, including My Dreams Of You, L’Affaire Dumoutier, Ordinary People and Closer Together, to also name a few.

But where are they today?

The Box continue to tour and play all their big hits and on the side, lead singer Jean-Marc Pisapia is a brilliant painter based out of Mont Tremblant.

His work on canvas captures the moment like you’re right there, they are picture perfect.

His musical work you can catch this Friday night at The Brass Monkey on Greenbank when The Box are in town, don’t miss this great show.
