Don’t get me wrong I have always loved every single animal since I was a little girl….leery of snakes maybe but still I’ve learned to respect them. But being the ultimate cat lover, I guess I looked at birds as their toys, and Tweety was never nice to poor Sylvester in the Looney Tunes cartoons so I wasn’t a fan 😉
However now that I’m older, I have a new respect and understanding for our feathered friends and even more so now that I live in the country with my wonderful bird feeder always fully stocked for all my new friends who come to visit. We have had every color and shape from my two favorites, cardinals and blue jays to chickadees, robins, sparrows, woodpeckers to the variety of the bigger kind, wild turkeys too.
With so many coming around, hard to know what to feed them but luckily with a great place like Wildbirds Unlimited around to help us all out, we can’t go wrong. The bird feeding specialists at that store like my beautiful friend Jennifer can help you select the best feeders and food for your situation and location.
Not to mention it can help you enjoy more of the beauty of this long cold winter by watching the beauty of your feathered friends and if you’re anything like me, snapping a few pictures along the way too.
