Less Showers And More Flowers!

Had enough of those April showers yet?  Well, it’s a brand new month and the showers are still here. In fact, a lot more than just showers! A special weather statement remains in effect for the Ottawa-area. Forecasters with Environment Canada North say an intensifying low pressure system over Missouri will continue to provide several rounds of rain to Eastern Ontario today and tonight. A few heavier thunderstorms are also expected in some areas. Total general rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 millimetres are anticipated by Tuesday morning before the system tapers off. But some areas which receive more persistent thunderstorms could see higher amounts of  local rainfall. (Environment Canada)
