It’s something that will attract kids of all ages, as well as those who appreciate art. A very special exhibit opens this week at the Canada Science and Technology Museum. THE ART OF THE BRICK exhibit by artist Nathan Sawaya is a critically-acclaimed collection of inspiring artworks is made exclusively from one of the most recognizable toys in the world: the LEGO® brick. Sawaya is a master LEGO builder who left his life as a high-powered New York lawyer to create amazing works with the toys we all grew up with.
The exhibit will be here all summer, opening to the public on Wednesday May 16th and running until Monday September 3rd.From child’s toy to sophisticated art form and beyond, the world’s largest display of LEGO art ever features original pieces as well as re-imagined versions of the world’s most famous art masterpieces like Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa.
