Juno Nominations Come Down This Morning

The Juno Awards celebrate the best that Canadian music has to offer and we sure do have a lot to offer.

The 2018 Juno nominations come down this morning at 11am and will likely shine a spotlight on superstars Drake, Shania Twain and the late Gord Downie in the top categories.

But many will be closely watching the number of female artists who earn recognition in the wake of the MeToo and Time’s Up movements.  Mind you there is no lack of great females in any category when you think about it.

For starters, always one of my faves who should be nominated is Serena Ryder, who’s new CD, Utopia is downright phenomenal.  There is always Diana Krall who recently came to town in support of her latest drop, Turn Up The Quiet.

Whoever gets the nod, male or female, it’s still going to be great with most amazing Michael Buble hosting when it hits Vancouver March 25th.
