Well it’s not like Jamie Lee Curtis has ever gone away really and I should know, I’m like her biggest fan. Jamie to me epitomizes that female power in not all she does and continues to do but not only that, she also set the standard for it back in one of her first movies, taking on the evil Michael Myers in the original Halloween.
Jamie Lee has taken on the role of Laurie Strobe in a few of the Halloween movies along the way but in this, the eleventh installment coming out in October 2018, she picks up forty years after the events of the original while disregarding the continuity of the previous sequels.
Series co-creator John Carpenter is also back as a composer, executive producer and creative consultant for the film while Nick Castle reprises his role of Michael Myers, respectively, with stuntman James Jude Courtney who will also be portraying Michael.
That girl you’re sure you know and not sure where from (heck she even wrote a book about it;), Judy Greer is also on board in this movie playing Laurie’s daughter Karen Strode while John Carpenter who provided the Halloween theme music for the first three Halloween movies has made a deal to score the 2018 release as well.
Regarding his take on the sequel, he said, “I’ll be consulting with the director to see what he feels. I could create a new score, we could update the old score and amplify it, or we could combine those two things. I’ll have to see the movie to see what it requires.”
Guess all our answers will be answered on this, in what they call the final chapter of Halloween on October 19th, 2018.
If you’re anything like me, I know I can’t wait either, I even jumped watching the trailer 🙂 See for yourself 🙂
