Views from a traffic cop with a bit of sarcasm tossed in. Views are his own… Phil Kane is an Ottawa traffic officer who has taken to Twitter to share some of his daily encounters, sometimes with those who run afoul of the law. This morning, he posted photos of several cars that he’d pulled over and there was a common theme. All of the cars had a thick coating of snow.
One driver had brushed off the windshield, but the officer wrote a $110 ticket anyway as thick snow from the rest of the car flew everywhere. “It was like driving behind a snowstorm,” Officer Kane noted. Another driver got a ticket because he or she didn’t even have a brush. Some of the excuses given were imaginative to say the least. Here are just a few…
“I just work 2 minutes from here”.
“I was just going to let it blow off on the highway…I’m late for work”.
“I used my brush to clear the windshield“.
Ottawa Police are reminding people they have to clear the car right off — that means the roof too.
