Hollywood Has Lost Another One

He was one of those actors who was really good at playing bad.  Character actor Powers Boothe has died at his L-A home of natural causes at the age of 68.

Boothe won an Emmy in 1980 for playing cult leader Jim Jones in a T-V movie about the mass suicide at Jones’ compound in Guyana.

He also appeared as villains in T-V’s “Deadwood,” and in the movies “Tombstone,” “Sin City,” “Nixon” and “The Avengers.”

And let’s not forget my favorite role on Nashville, where he played Lamar Wyatt.  RIP Powers Boothe, you will be missed.
