History Making Emmy Nomination For Ottawa’s Sandra Oh

Netflix is the most-nominated network at this year’s Emmy Awards, grabbing 112 nominations this morning. That included nominations for shows ranging from “Stranger Things,” to ”The Crown,“ ”GLOW“ and ”Godless.“ H-B-O’s “Game of Thrones” earned the most nominations of any program with 22.

Ottawa native, Sandra Oh, made history as the first Asian woman to be nominated for lead actress in a drama series for “Killing Eve,” which debuts July 22nd on Bravo. After five previous nominations in the Supporting Actress category for Grey’s Anatomy, Sandra nabbed her first nomination for Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Killing Eve. She’s the first woman of Asian descent to so.
