Here We Go Again!

The good news is we’re past the halfway point of winter. We’re going to add to our snowfall totals today.  Depending where you are the amounts could range from 5 to 15 cm.  Schoolbus transportation is cancelled this morning for the Upper Canada District Schoolboard and the Catholic District Schoolboard of Eastern Ontario.  Here’s the latest from Environment Canada:

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Ottawa North – Kanata – Orléans
  • Ottawa South – Richmond – Metcalfe

Snowfall of 5 to 15 cm today. Snow is expected to begin this morning across much of Central and Eastern Ontario. General snowfall amounts of around 5 to 10 cm are likely, however areas close to Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River may see as much as 10 to 15 cm. The snow will taper off late in the afternoon or early evening.
This snowfall will likely have a significant impact on the afternoon commute. (Environment Canada)
