Richard Starkey is celebrating his 77th birthday today by announcing the release date and title of his forthcoming album. “Give More Love” will be his first record since 2015’s “Postcards From Paradise” and it’s be available in mid-September. Joining him in the studio on various songs are fellow Beatle, Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton too. So what did Ringo do today to celebrate. The Los Angeles Times reported that he planned to mark the occasion as he has for the last three years: one on one with his fans, just outside the Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood to sign autographs and flash the peace sign. He’ll be joined by film director David Lynch, Texas blues rocker Edgar Winter, the Animals’ Eric Burdon, and E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren. The day will also include renditions of Ringo Starr songs by other musicians. Sounds like an annual pilgrimage worth making if you’re a Ringo fan!
