I tell you about my Stronger Everyday Boot Camp and the great workouts and the great trainers and of course the Jason Momoa look-alike trainer in Mike but have we discussed the great meal plan that goes along with it? Well let’s do that shall we.
Georgie the owner supplies your meal plan and also throws in a few new recipes to try too and out of all of them, I swear this one is my favorite of all.
It’s hearty, it’s nutritious and loaded with goodness from your ground turkey to your veggies to everything in between.
It’s called Turkey and Veggie Comfort Stew/Soup and it’s approved by my hubby and Nida too 🙂 Here is the recipe if you so desire and you can thank Georgie for this one 🙂
Here’s what you need:
•2 teaspoons olive oil
•2 garlic cloves, minced
•1 bunch of carrots, chopped
•2 onions, chopped
•1 bunch of celery
•1 fennel bulb
•1.3 lbs lean ground turkey
•4 cups veggie broth
•1 (14.5oz) can stewed tomatoes
•1 (15oz) can white kidney beans
•4 ears of corn, kernels sliced off cob
•3 Tablespoons tomato paste
•2 teaspoons dried basil
•Dash of salt and freshly ground pepper
1.In a large skillet heat the olive oil. Add garlic.
2.Add chopped carrots, cover for 5 minutes.
3.Add onions, celery and fennel. Sauté until soft.
4.In another skillet cook the ground turkey over medium heat until fully cooked, stirring often. Drain off excess fat.
5.Transfer the veggies to large soup pot and add the remaining ingredients, and the cooked turkey. Cover and cook over low heat for 40 minutes.
