Gatineau Police To Hand Out Safety Lights To Trick-or-Treaters

Gatineau police will once again be handing out safety lights on the street and in some city parks to make Halloween safer for trick-or-treaters. The collar device, sporting the police logo, slips on and off easily (but not too easily).

Parents can keep the device for future night outings with the kids. The device will be available from patrol cars. Parents are cautioned to wait until the squad cars are stopped, and not run into the road to chase the patrollers.

They are also available between 5:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. at a number of Gatineau parks – see below.
