Family Displaced In South Keys Fire

A family of four has been displaced but escaped uninjured after a fire in their home late Tuesday evenint.  Ottawa fire crews received multiple 911 calls about heavy smoke coming from a split-level home at 1321 Fonteney Crescent in South Keys around 11:30 p.m.  Flames could be seen at the back of the home when crews arrived, and the fire extended to the attic as crews battled the blaze.  The residence next door also sustained some damage.  The fire was under control by around midnight.  Although the cause remains under investigation, total damage to both homes is in the range of $185,000.
