The Eagles are suing Hotel California. The supergroup have filed a lawsuit against the Canadian owners of the Hotel California in Todos Santos, Mexico. In their complaint, the Eagles acknowledge the hotel had the name in 1950; their iconic song came out in 1976. But they point out the hotel has changed names and ownership several times since then. Their complaint notes the hotel plays Eagles song, sells T-shirts that refer to the hotel as “legendary” and targets their advertising to Americans by implying it’s the inspiration for the song. No word if the hotel shares the same checkout policy as the song.

But you can never leave!”
