The Philosopher Kings took the Canadian music industry by storm with their debut back in 1994. The album eventually earning Gold status in Canada and they went on to win a Juno Award in 1996 for Best New Group and landed on the U.S. Top 40 chart that same year. The band criss-crossed the country, becoming one of the most sought after and popular live acts on the circuit.
They later parted ways with lead singer Jarvis Church going on to some solo success of his own and also going on to discover pop sensation Nelly Furtado.
Now fast forward to 2017 and The Philosopher Kings have reunited with a renewed energy, revitalized focus and brand new material set on their fifth studio album. Return Of The Kings is due out later this year. The first single will drop on June 30th and the band will be performing a special invite-only show for media, friends and family, at the Mod Club in Toronto on June 20 to preview some of the new songs and old favorites.
