Different Name But Same Great Place

It will take some getting used to on my part too as the Centrepointe Theatre has always been just that to me, Centrepointe Theatre but it now has a new name that will take some more Meridian Theatre mentions in my own head….I mean I actually have to think about it now 😉

Yes the name of Centrepointe Theatre has officially changed it’s name to Meridian Theatres at Centrepointe, thanks to a sponsorship agreement between the City Of Ottawa and Meridian, Canada’s third largest credit union.

The name change and sponsorship agreement is part of the  City’s ongoing Community Champions Program, which provides sponsors with year-round recognition for their contribution to improving the lives of Ottawa residents where they live, work and play.  Meridian will pay $65,ooo annually for 15 years.

Different name maybe but still a great line up of entertainment like the season kick off with the award winning children’s programming Wild Kratts LIVE 2.o.  Add to that Tea with a spot of the classics, The Grey Jazz big band, Songs for a Season, JW Jones and Friends and some of my faves, Ricky Scaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Roch Voisine and the Just  For Laughs Road Show.
