Classic Movie Marks A Milestone

A comedy classic starring Bill Murray turns 25 today.  “Groundhog Day” follows the adventures of Murray’s jaded T-V weatherman Phil Connors, as he is mysteriously forced the live the same day over and over. The film is regarded by many as one of the prime examples of a smart, existential comedy, with one lingering question — how long does Murray’s character stay in the repeating time loop? The late director, Harold Ramis, reportedly tapped in to his Buddhist beliefs and suggested it takes 10-thousand years to elevate a human spirit. (Broadcast News)
