City Proclaims Today Childhood Cancer Awareness Day

The City of Ottawa today raised the Childhood Cancer Awareness Flag and proclaim today Friday September 1, 2017 Childhood Cancer Awareness Day.

Cancer is the leading cause of disease related death for Canadian children.

Every year 1700 children are diagnosed, 65 from right here in the Ottawa region.

At City Hall today, Deputy Mayor Taylor was joined by a number of young childhood cancer patients, survivors and families of children with cancer for the flag raising ceremony.
