The people of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec spoke louder than ever before by making the 34th Annual Edition of the CHEO Telethon a record breaking success. The final total was, wait for it…….$8,727,897!!! That money will help the doctors, nurses, researchers and staff at the Children’s Hospital Of Eastern Ontario, the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre and Roger Neilson House continue to provide the outstanding family centered care that people in our region have come to expect.
Be A Hero For CHEO has been the call to action from the CHEO Foundation as the spread the word about biggest even on their annual calendar. When the 24-hour broadcast came to an end last night, Foundation President and CEO Kevin Keohane was thankful for an astoundingly loyal community.
“Everyone at CHEO, OCTC, Roger Neilson House and the CHEO Research Institute works as one team, dedicated to helping children live their best lives possible,” says Keohane. “The reason they can continue to provide such amazing care is because the people in our area care so much deeply for the kids. Donations and public support mean the world the families who need CHEO and on their behalf we thank all who gave, for their dedication and unwavering support during the telethon and all year long.”
