You know it, you love it! James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” segment with Paul McCartney on “The Late Late Show” in June was so popular that they’re going to expand it into a prime-time special. “Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney Live From Liverpool” will air on C-B-S on Aug. 20th. Executive producer Ben Winston says they had to cut a lot of what they had filmed because of time constraints. He says there’s much more of the concert McCartney did in a Liverpool pub and more of the discussions McCartney and Corden had in the car.
The “Paul McCartney Carpool Karaoke” has nearly 130 million digital views across Facebook and YouTube. It is the most-watched late night video on Facebook Watch. McCartney’s new album, Egypt Station, will be released Sept. 7. (The Canadian Press)
