Canada Day Eh

It’s Canada Day this Saturday but no ordinary one, its Canada’s 150th and it falls on a Saturday, yes the weekend so that means Monday will be the holiday where some things will remain closed so a phone call ahead to be sure or wait til Tuesday is a safe bet.

All City Of Ottawa and government offices will be closed til Tuesday July 4th.  Most malls will be closed on Canada Day but Rideau Centre will be open 10-6pm.  The LCBO will be closed but four downtown Ottawa Beer Store locations will be open from 10-9pm and they include 201, Rideau St, 515 Somerset St. W, 900 Bank St and 546 Scott St.

All City of Ottawa parking regulations and restrictions will apply during this time but OC Transpo is offering FREE Service all day on Canada Day and operating a special holiday schedule with extra service during the day and after the fireworks.

And lets not forget all the roads that will be closed to traffic and open to pedestrians and tourists taking in all our sites and sounds of the Nation’s Capital.

Be safe, Happy Canada Day and Happy 150th 🙂
