It’s like the perfect trifecta when you think about it.
It’s a book…..about a drink…..and it’s Canadian.
Hot off the presses, it’s the first of it’s kind, the coffee table book dedicated to our favorite drink…..The Caesar. 50 Years. 50 Stories: Celebrating A Half-Century Of Canada’s National Cocktail.
The 50 stories chosen for the book demonstrate how the Caesar has become so much more than just a cocktail.
It’s a cultural icon, woven into our traditions and a mainstay of the Canadian experience.
Some of the highlights of the more than 2,500 stories submitted include:
-Dan Aykroyd introduced The Rolling Stones to the Caesar at his lake house in Kingston after a day of jet skiing with Keith Richards.
-Jason Priestly is now the Caesar Master of Beverly Hills after learning Caesars are nowhere to be found in L.A.
-Canadian hockey player Doug Gilmour shared Caesars with this teammates Kirk Muller, Wendell Clark and Dave Ellett at his lake house on Sunday afternoons.
-Colin Mochrie served Caesars to the cast of Whose Line Is It Anyway before the very first episode and credits it as the show’s Canadian good luck charm.
Just some of the great stories you will find in your favorite new coffee table book all about your favorite drink to celebrate 50 years!
Happy Birthday my Bloody Caesar, might have to go home and raise a toast to you later 😉
