Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 Is All Good And No Bad

If you are a fan of Bon Cop Bad Cop from 10 years ago, let me tell you it was worth the wait for number two.  I had the extreme honor of attending the Ottawa premiere last night and  I can tell you, I laughed, I cried and if there was a t-shirt, I would have certainly bought that too.

The movie picks up with the two buddy cops Martin and David, meeting up unexpectedly on a bust/undercover case and it just takes off from there with action, humor and all the things that make a two hour movie pass along at a steady pace and that it did tenfold.  In fact I was sad to see the movie end so soon but if there isn’t a third to follow, it ended well.

The two stars Patrick Huard and Colm Feore did a great job on the first one but rarely does it happen that the second one could be better, sequels rarely play out that way but I have to say in this case, as much as I loved the first one, Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 was way better.  If I had more than two thumbs, I would certainly give it that.

On a side note, best part of last night was that the stars and behind the scenes personnel came out to introduce the movie so yes the stars Patrick and Colm got up to thank their fans for coming out and waiting 10 years for them to do this.  Patrick also said with all that has happened here with the flooding and with all of us winning or being invited to the movie that if we liked the movie and only if we liked it, we could take that price of the ticket that we would have paid, and donate it to the Red Cross to help out.

Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 is in theatres now.
