More than 300 Beatles items are going up for sale at a memorabilia auction in Liverpool, England, on August 26th. The items on the block include the front door of the Arnold Grove, Wavertree home where George Harrison was born, and a Cavern Club membership card from 1960. Beatles Shop owner Ian Wallace says: “It’s just incredible that these things keep turning up.” One of the surprises was a pair of Beatles boots! The pair, worn by Ringo Starr on stage in 1963, are unlike the leather boots worn by the rest of the Fab Four. Ringo had his own suede versions made with a lower heel, so he could use the pedals of his drum kit while performing on stage. It’s estimated the boots, described as “size 7, worn but in good condition”, will fetch up to £5,000.
