You have the band, tons of solo stuff from the members, members teaming up outside the band and they give it to us again but in a new collaboration.
Fleetwood Mac is the band that just keeps on giving, in band form and solos along the way from Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie. We’ve also seen Buckingham Nicks and now its Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie announcing a new album and tour.
This will be the first ever duo album from Lindsey and Christine and will simply be called Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie hitting stores on June 9th followed by a tour on 21st but so far no Canadian dates.
The collaboration began three years ago, when McVie rejoined Fleetwood Mac for the group’s On With The Show tour. The pair went in to record new material prior to rehearsals for the tour and their natural creative chemistry was reignited.
According to Buckingham, “We were exploring a creative process, and the identity of the project took on a life organically. The body of work felt like it was meant to be a duet album. We acknowledged that to each other on many occasions, and said to ourselves, ‘what took us so long?!!’”
