One of the key cast members on a popular CBC-TV show will not be returning. In a statement, Newfoundland native Shaun Majumber says the move to leave “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” is “due to creative differences” between himself and the Halifax producers. The actor-comedian adds the decision for his departure was not his. The show’s new season begins September 18th.
Majumder joined “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” in 2003 and won a Gemini Award for his role on the show in 2006. Majumder says he “always felt blessed” to be part of what he calls a Canadian cultural institution. (The Canadian Press)
