Serious Bus Crash Near Prescott, Some Critically Injured

Ontario Provincial Police say at least 24 people are in hospital, four with life-threatening injuries, following a bus crash on the 401 this afternoon near Prescott.

Const. Suzanne Runciman says the bus was carrying approximately 37 people, including the driver and a tour guide when it left the highway hitting a rock cut.

Leeds and Grenville Paramedics say multiple patients were without vital signs and multiple patients were taken to Brockville General with serious injuries.

According to the paramedic service, Brockville General Hospital has declared a code orange

Brockville General tweeted they have a Mandarin translator on site.

The Ottawa Hospital said it is working with regional hospitals and ORNGE to treat those who are seriously injured.

One witness reported, the whole front end of the bus was gone.
